Itinerary

From glaciers to jungle, from silence to ancestral whispers, this journey tests your body and awakens your soul. A pilgrimage of self-discovery that begins with every step and culminates in the sacred sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

  1. Before departure Information session - trip preparation

The day before departure, your expert guide gathers you for a preparation session: detailed itinerary, gear advice, safety and logistics.

Optionally, the "Discovering Experience" offers a genuine cultural exchange with the porter and muleteer community that will accompany you.

  2. Day 1 Soraypampa - Humantay lake - Salkantaypampa - Ichupata

Your expedition begins with an early pick-up in Cusco. After breakfast at the foot of the imposing Humantay and Salkantay peaks, you hike up to Humantay lake, its turquoise waters nestled beneath glacial summits.

You continue towards Ichupata, crossing the Vilcabamba range, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

You camp under a starry sky, filled with the pure energy of the mountains.

  3. Day 2 Ichupata - Inkachiriasca pass - Sisaypampa

Today you reach the highest point of the expedition: the Inkachiriasca pass (5,100 m), both the literal and symbolic summit of your journey.

From the top, marvel at the majesty of Salkantay and, if the weather allows, glimpse Ausangate in the distance.

Then descend into the peaceful beauty of Sisaypampa, as your surroundings transform, just as your inner world does.

  4. Day 3 Pampacahuana Inca canal - Paucarcancha - Wayllabamba - Ayapata

After a hearty breakfast, follow the ancient Pampacahuana Inca canal, a masterpiece of engineering still in use. Reach the archaeological site of Paucarcancha, nestled among green mountains.

After lunch you officially join the classic Inca Trail. Say goodbye to the muleteers and continue towards Wayllabamba and then Ayapata, where you rest under the starry Andean sky.

  5. Day 4 Ayapata - Warmiwañusca - Runkurakay - Chaquicocha

Face the most physically demanding stage of the route. Climb the famous Warmiwañusca pass (Dead Woman's Pass, 4,215 m) and then the Runkurakay pass (4,000 m).

From the top, look out over mist-wrapped valleys and let the majesty of the Andes surround you.

Visit the Sayacmarca archaeological site before camping at Chaquicocha, where the sunset sets the mountains ablaze with intense colour.

  6. Day 5 Chaquicocha - Phuyupatamarca - Wiñay Wayna

Walk one of the most beautiful sections of the Inca Trail. Surrounded by cloud forest and wild orchids, you visit Phuyupatamarca ("Town above the clouds") and take in stunning panoramas over mountain ranges and deep valleys.

Continue the descent towards Intipata and finally reach Wiñay Wayna, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites, where you rest at the gates of Machu Picchu.

  7. Day 6 Wiñay Wayna - Inti Punku - Machu Picchu - Cusco

The big day has come. Before dawn, hike to Inti Punku (the Sun Gate) to witness the first rays of sunlight on Machu Picchu, a magical and unforgettable moment.

After a guided tour of the citadel, its temples, terraces and squares, you have free time to explore at your own pace.

You then take the train back to Cusco, carrying with you memories that will have marked you deeply.
