Day 1 Cusco - Cusipata - Vinicunca - Cusco
Hotel pick-up (4:00 - 4:30 am): our team collects you early in the morning. We head to the southern region of Cusco on a scenic 3-hour drive.
Breakfast in Cusipata: a stop for a nutritious, energising breakfast at a local restaurant - hot drinks, bread, fruit, eggs and more.
Arrival at Pampachiri or Chillihuani (depending on the season), the trailhead. Safety briefing and key recommendations before setting off.
The hike lasts 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the group's pace. Medium to high difficulty, with steady climbs, cold winds and significant altitude. Along the way: snow-capped peaks, llamas, alpacas and villages.
Arrival at the viewpoint at 5,036 m: red, green, yellow and purple unfold across the ridge. Free time to rest, take photos and soak up the landscape.
Return by the same route (horse descent available as a paid option), then a buffet lunch in Cusipata.
Return to Cusco by tourist transport, drop-off at your hotel around 5:00 pm.
