Itinerary

A personal journey along ancestral trails: a deep connection with the Andes, living history and transformative silence. The extra day compared with the classic trek allows gentler acclimatisation and far more time at every site.

  1. Before departure Briefing and Discovering Experience (optional)

The day before your Inca Trail hike, a preparation session with your expert guide answers your questions and settles the logistics. Complete peace of mind before you set off.

Optionally, choose the "Discovering Experience": a genuine cultural exchange with the porter community. Meet the team who will look after you and enrich your journey in the heart of the Andes.

  2. Day 1 Salapunku - Llactapata: the start of the Inca Trail

The sacred path welcomes you in silence. At km 82 your Inca Trail pilgrimage begins. Follow the Vilcanota river and discover archaeological sites such as Salapunku, Qoriwayrachina and Llactapata.

As you walk you will enjoy breathtaking panoramas and feel in harmony with the landscape.

At night you camp under the stars, feeling your body adapt and your spirit expand. Every step takes you deeper along your inner path.

  3. Day 2 Llactapata - Wayllabamba - Llulluchapampa

Every climb is a lesson; every silence a teacher. The ascent runs through misty trails and fertile valleys.

A break at Wayllabamba allows you to rest, then the route stretches on to Llulluchapampa, a crucial stage for altitude acclimatisation.

The trail becomes more demanding, but also more intimate. Listen to your breathing, your thoughts, the wind in the bushes.

  4. Day 3 Warmiwañusca - Runkurakay - Phuyupatamarca

The most intense day, physically and emotionally. You cross the Warmiwañusca (4,215 m) and Runkurakay (3,800 m) passes, surrounded by mist and stone.

Visit Sayacmarca and watch the cloud forest begin to wrap around the trail. Every step uphill is a chance to strengthen your will.

Reaching Phuyupatamarca at sunset is the masterful close to a day of challenges, both outer and inner.

  5. Day 4 Phuyupatamarca - Wiñay Wayna - Inti Punku

A path of light, your moment of revelation. Descend the ancient stone staircases through dense vegetation scented with the jungle.

At Wiñay Wayna, take in the harmony between Inca architecture and wild nature.

Finally, Inti Punku - the Sun Gate - reveals Machu Picchu emerging from the mist. A sacred sight that welcomes you not as a tourist, but as someone who has earned their place.

  6. Day 5 Machu Picchu - returning as a new version of yourself

Enter Machu Picchu at dawn, the jewel of the Andes. Explore its temples, squares and terraces, and absorb its ancestral wisdom.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to wander at your own pace, in silence and gratitude.

Back in Cusco you will not be the same. You will have walked far more than a trail: you will have reconnected with your true essence.
