  1. Before departure Essential briefing and group preparation

    Your Inca Trail adventure begins with a mandatory preparation session led by your expert guide, where you will meet the other members of your small group and review every safety and logistics detail.

    Community adventure (Discovering Experience, optional): we offer you a genuine cultural exchange with the porter community that accompanies you on the trek. A unique chance to connect with the heart of the Andes.

  2. Day 1 From Km 82 to Wayllabamba - the start of our shared adventure

    After pick-up in Cusco we reach the trailhead. This first day is ideal for getting to know the group and finding our rhythm. We explore the ruins of Llactapata, an ancient agricultural centre, walking with views of the imposing snow-capped La Verónica.

    The Wayllabamba camp is our first Andean refuge, with a welcome dinner and a briefing for the demanding day ahead.

  3. Day 2 Wayllabamba to Pacaymayo - the challenge that binds us (Warmiwañusca pass)

    This day will strengthen the bonds within your small group. We climb steadily through cloud forest and Andean puna to the legendary Warmiwañusca pass (Dead Woman's Pass).

    Your guide keeps a suitable pace and supports every member of the group. Once the summit is reached (4,215 m), you share an unforgettable panorama and the satisfaction of achievement.

    The descent leads to the Pacaymayo camp for a nourishing dinner and a well-earned rest.

  4. Day 3 From Pacaymayo to Wiñay Wayna - living history in the cloud forest

    We leave the high mountains and enter the lush cloud forest. We explore masterful Inca ruins such as Sayacmarca and the mystical Phuyupatamarca ("Town above the clouds").

    Your expert guide brings Andean history to life throughout the day. Our final camp sits at the beautiful Wiñay Wayna. We celebrate our last night in the mountains with a farewell dinner and a moment of gratitude for this shared journey.

  5. Day 4 From Wiñay Wayna to Machu Picchu - the triumphant arrival

    We rise before dawn for the final climb to Inti Punku (the Sun Gate). As Inca Trail hikers, you witness a magnificent sight: Machu Picchu revealing itself in the first light of day.

    We descend to the citadel for a two-hour guided tour. After enjoying the magic of the site, we take the bus and train back. Your journey ends at your hotel in Cusco, carrying unforgettable memories of this small-group adventure.

  • Breakfast on the first day and the final meal back in Cusco.
  • Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain entrance ticket (optional, limited places, book in advance).
  • Tips for guides, porters and cooks: never compulsory, but always appreciated.
  • Travel insurance: strongly recommended. Choose cover including medical emergencies, cancellations and delays.
  • Additional porter if you need to carry more than 8 kg (request when booking).
  • Sleeping bag (available for rent at our office).
