Itinerary

Explore, connect and conquer Machu Picchu. From Wiñay Wayna to Machu Picchu, an authentic, safe and deeply human experience awaits you.

  1. Before departure The day before the trek - Briefing

Before the adventure begins, you will meet your guide for a detailed briefing where every aspect of the trek is explained.

It is also the perfect chance to meet your travel companions, the small team you will share this extraordinary adventure with.

  2. Day 1 Cusco - Km 104 - Machu Picchu

Your adventure begins early in the morning. We pick you up at your hotel and take you by private transfer to Ollantaytambo station. From there, a scenic train ride takes us to km 104, the official starting point of our trek.

The Sacred Valley unfolds before you, with its imposing mountains, snow-capped peaks, traditional villages and lush vegetation along the winding Urubamba River.

At km 104, after passing the checkpoint, our unforgettable hike begins. First stop: Chachabamba (2,050 m), a hidden archaeological site full of history. From there we start a steady three-hour climb to the magnificent Wiñay Wayna (2,650 m). There we admire the perfectly preserved Inca architecture and enjoy our picnic in a magical mountain setting.

After a break, we continue along a subtropical path leading to Inti Punku (the Sun Gate). This is the most anticipated moment of the day: your first view of Machu Picchu, revealed between emerald peaks and the deep Urubamba canyon. Take your time to soak in the magic of the place, take that first photo and share your amazement with the group.

We then descend to the upper part of the citadel for a first silent visit before taking the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can relax in a 3★ hotel or bathe in the local hot springs.

  3. Day 2 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu to witness the magical sunrise over this sacred citadel. You enter the site as the golden morning light caresses its ancient stone walls, creating a mystical atmosphere.

Accompanied by your guide, you explore the main sectors of Machu Picchu for about 2 to 3 hours: temples, terraces, squares and viewpoints. You discover its history, architecture and deep symbolism. Every corner tells a story, and your guide shares it with passion and expertise.

After the guided tour, we return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Free time for lunch or to stroll around town. In the afternoon, board the Expedition train to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

Guided tour duration: 2 to 3 hours. Return: Expedition train + private transfer. End of the experience: hotel in Cusco.
